Welcome to Bird! 

The Bird journey began with our founder, Karla, and her dream of starting her own business. After studying Interior Design in Cape Town and gaining many years of valuable experience in the field, Karla decided to face a new challenge and create the Bird brand in 2022. Starting small, she meticulously crafted each product, experimenting with fabrics and styles to find the aesthetic she loved most. 

Driven by an unwavering eye for detail, Karla finds joy in sourcing the perfect fabrics to create collections that embody her style and devotion to the brand. By pouring her passion into every stitch, she creates products that are not only one-of-a-kind but also encapsulates the joys of spring. Our aesthetic is inspired by vintage floral patterns, embracing a simple life, the tales of Beatrix Potter and the serenity of nature. The Bird products are designed and made in the scenic Heidelberg, Western Cape but they travel far and wide to our customers. 

Following two years of successful sales at the Boerevintage Market in George, Bird is set to spread our wings even further, aiming to find more stores to stock our products.
